Art from the Heart is a program similar to the ones in the elementary schools. We learn about an artist and their art work including all the famous artist and even some illustrators. I do try to talk about the elements of art and the principles of design, but knowing that they are only in preschool we don't talk long. We get right into doing the art that reflects what we just learned. They learn so much from doing art. Not just that it's fun and they make something pretty that mom and dad will love, but they learn fine motor, emotional and problem solving skills. Also they learn cause and effect, similar to science.
