10:30 am Service
Adult Sunday School during the 10:30 service
Rusty McKee is working with a few of other leaders in the church to launch a new Sunday school class during the second service that would allow parents AND children AND youth to all be a part of some form of Christian ed. for a full hour, starting at 10:30.
This Sunday, our PreK-5th graders will gather in the choir room at 10:30 to hear a large-group lesson about “Family”. We'll focus on the story of Isaac and Rebekah from Genesis 24
Please check kids in to the computer and drop them off at 10:25 so grown-ups can get to Adult Sunday School with Rusty upstairs in the conference room at 10:30, or join worship. PICK UP KIDS IN CLASSROOMS PLEASE! Teachers will not dismiss unattended elementary students without a parent.
Youth (6th-12th) Our 6th-12th grade will gather in the Annex upstairs across from the main office for breakfast snacks and drinks. Melissa, Bill, and Beth will continue our lesson inspired by the book Connecting with God with conversation about "Talking with God." Students will get to split into middle and high school discussion groups during the class time. Bring a friend! Will this be your first time to youth Sunday School in a while? GREAT! Come see what's new with our friends and our lessons. If you haven’t been attending, now is a great time to start! Come join us upstairs in the Annex right at 10:30!
What to expect on Sunday mornings...
On Sunday mornings, engaging and fun Sunday school classes are offered at our 10:30 worship for ages preschool through 5th grade. Nursery care for infants and toddlers is available at both our 9:00 and 10:30 am worship services. We love having our children in worship so, if your family attends our 9:00 am service, your children will find a children’s bulletin and a snack to enjoy during the service. For families with very young children, we also have a soundproof quiet room at the back of the sanctuary for parents to still participate in worship without having to remove themselves due to an upset or fussy child. During first Sunday of each month, our children go directly to their classrooms before rejoining the rest of the of the church community in the sanctuary to participate in communion towards the end of the worship service. There will always be someone waiting at the entrance to the church on these days to help families find the appropriate classrooms.
A few words on who we are...
We are strong believers of helping to support and empower parents. This includes providing practical resources and growing opportunities on subjects like building better marriages, becoming the spiritual leaders of one’s children, and learning what it means and looks like to experience a holistically redeemed life in God’s Kingdom here on earth. Keep an eye on our calendar for opportunities like these to learn and grow as individuals and as a family! As a church on the plateau, we recognize the need and desire for authentic community, real relationships, and a safe space. Faith Church is an open and welcoming community of any and all who might walk through our doors while also intentionally pursuing work in the community that will improve the lives of those around us in big and small ways. For more info on our church, staff, and ministry’s in action, check out our website for more info and ways to get involved! Sunday School Teachers are a special gift to our Church because we believe that laying a biblical foundation at an early age is so very important and we are so thankful for our teaching team. Yet, we are always in need of a few more volunteers that can teach or assist 1 or 2 Sunday’s a month. If you would like to join this amazing group of teachers please contact Melissa Bortnick and we will get you plugged in. Welcome Andrew Larsen as our new Music Director.
